  • If you’re ever looking for Hannah Perry ""Platypus"" Wixom, pretend to throw an imaginary ball in the air and see who hits the biggest woah (trust us, everyone’s got to see it once). When not breaking out into a happy dance, this legendary rising Sid junior from Concord, Massachusetts can be found cooking up soft robotic devices as a Mechanical Engineering major at her lab or planning the best events as a Sid Spirit. Fueled by heavy sprinkles of salt she adds on every bite of food she eats (think Salt Bae) and Dave’s Hot Chicken (don’t be fooled though, she gets it lite mild), Hannah can also be found weaving through defenders on the Rice Women’s Lacrosse team or winning the coveted President’s Cup for Sid (likeee go follow @sidrichsports). With her frequent dad jokes, energetic personality, and love for others, Hannah is always such an exciting person to be around so get ready to have the best O-Week with Hannah by your side.

  • If you ever hear Tori Kelly (Sing 2 is his favorite movie) blasting from a black Ford Mustang (think Batmobile) headed to the Potbelly in Rice Village, chance’s are you’ve run into Bryant Polanco. Energized by his favorite chicken club sandwiches and EXTRA sweet boba milk teas, you can also find this rising Sid Senior saving people’s lives as one of Rice EMS’s elite In-Charges or managing committees as one of Sid’s Vice Presidents. When not on the pre-med grind as a Health Sciences major and Neuroscience minor, this Dominican from Boca Raton loves to play volleyball in the Sid Quad while singing Camp Rock or dish out the most aggressive serves in tennis. With his constant jokes and caring presence, there’s never a dull moment with Bryant and you’re in great hands with him as your advisor. After all, as Bryant says, a broken clock is right twice a day.

  • If you’ve ever wanted to go for long walks on the beach- I mean- Hermann Park, then we’ve got the best Hanszenite to lead you there and get lost on the way back! Haley Truss, this sophomore short queen (pushing 5’) is fresh out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From her amazing personality to stylish hairstyles that she does herself, Haley always eats- just don’t literally eat around her and smack or you’ll see a different side to the typically sweet girl, for that’s her biggest pet peeve. She is obsessed with reality TV, so be sure to reference any ounce of Bad Girls Club when you’re around her. As a business major who actually finds herself busy, you can catch her locking in at McNair or the RMC, her favorite study spots. With her beacon energy, just (truss)-t that Haley Truss will make iHeartRadio Week a time to remember!

  • Matt is a rising sophomore majoring in math/econ and statistics. He’s from the Woodlands, TX, which he insists is separate from Houston. Chances are you’ll find him “studying” (or socializing) at Brochstein—this guy knows EVERYONE. At night, when he’s not driving to get a midnight snack from Whataburger or Insomnia Cookies, you can find him chilling on the Duncan Sundeck with his friends, fire music (his favorite artists are Kendrick and Tyler, the Creator), and good vibes. This night owl is also a new Pub hire, so you should definitely stop by and say hi! There’s no guarantee he won’t make you griddy though :)

  • Hailing from Houston, Texas, and Kerala, India, Diya is a sophomore majoring in Business Management with a minor in Data Science. If you are wondering where she is, chances are this Swiftie is on the floor for her daily floor time, reading a book, artfully painting her nails, or bullet journaling. Ask her how to properly say “Hey, I’m walking here” in a New York accent. She loves her family, being the middle child of five kids, and being the best O-Week mom to her new students! Diya loves to secretly post, but it’s no secret that anyone is lucky to be around her infectious smile and laugh. She is one of the most supportive, loving, and kind people you’ll meet. Let’s go, Bon Joviana Jones!
