Ladies and gentlemen, hide your sons! Introducing Antonio Centenera, Duncan’s very own renaissance man - pianiste extraordinaire, philosopher, track star, and general heartthrob! A sophomore majoring in piano performance and philosophy, Antonio is known for his historically informed, technically dazzling, and emotionally thrilling performances on the concert stage - but don’t be fooled, he’s also just as game to get down to Doja Cat or Megan thee Stallion. Apart from his musical ambitions, Antonio can be found taking long runs, cooking up mouthwatering gumbo, reading literary classics, longing to live in a city near the mountains, and pondering the meaning of life in a chaotic and vacuous world. As the premiere musician on North Campus, Antonio is the girl to see and be seen with for Sid Richardson’s iHeartRadioWeek! In all honesty, whether you’re into tennis or Classical music; looking for a good laugh or a lifelong friend, Antonio is EXACTLY the person you want to get to know this O-week!

Tsk tsk tsk here he is again: Austin Tran, still a 5'7" short king, now a rising senior, back at it again to be a part of O-Week for the third year in a row. Some things never change: this Business and Statistics double major from Katy, Texas is still stomping around campus in his not quite highlighter purple crocs and utilizing RhymeZone to freestyle rap. Although, don’t worry, there are some things that have improved! He finally got some iCloud storage and upgraded from tour guide to Sid shirts. His default wallpaper is long gone, and he has finally accepted the fact that rice must be washed before being consumed. But that is just so quintessential Austin! He will always be a steady rock that you can rely on and will support you through the ups and downs of your time at Rice. You’ve definitely lucked out to have him as your advisor (just don’t ask to play Bananagrams or Monopoly Go)!

Introducing the one and only Alyssa Tate, a junior chem major (art history minor) native to Buda, TX! When she’s not busy grinding in one of Houston’s hundreds of coffee shops or studying in commons, you’ll probably find her either curled up in bed watching a K-drama missing her cats, monitoring the score of the latest football game (the English kind, definitely not the American imposter), going to a concert, or trying new restaurants with her friends. Alyssa's love for all things red is unmistakable, whether it's her Gerald Way red hair, her devotion to Liverpool FC, or the color of car. Her obsession with Red Bull (or any source of caffeine if we’re being honest) ensures every caffeine-fueled, windows-down car ride with Alyssa is sure to be a memorable experience. And as the designated O-week photographer, she will capture every moment of the jam packed week and ensure that O-week is forever!
