Pretty in Pink Floyd

  • THEE Chiagoze Chuks-Nwosu.

I could just stop there because that’s all the introduction the illustrious Ashley needs. But, I won’t do y’all like that. She hails from the burbs of Katy, Texas and is a junior pre-med Cognitive Sciences major. And don’t even worry about not being cared for cause one thing about Ms. Ashley is that she will take care of you as if you were one of her own children like the absolute mother she is (ughhhh no choice but to love her). But wait...that's not even all there is to her (multifaceted queen omg). She is such a bookworm AND loves her some Kendrick Lamar & Steve Lacy (tooo goood of a music taste oml). What’s really crazy though is that’s still not all to know about her but if you get this Igbo barbie as your advisor, consider yourself truly blessed <3

  • Riya Keswani, a sophomore studying Finance, endearingly called "peepee" by her friends, hails all the way from Houston, Texas. Just fifteen minutes away but she's certainly not the one making the drive (she swears she'll get her license this summer). You can always find her in the Chaus line ordering her usual maple cookie and vanilla frappy, on the beach volleyball courts, or trying new food spots around the city. If you can't seem to reach her, she's probably dealing with her stomach problems (don't ask about the Tudor bathrooms) or laying on her friends' floors where she'll claim she's not falling asleep. You can ask her about her obsession with New Girl or her dawg. You've lucked out with fifth-floors finest (2x resident) as your advisor!

  • Ask Graham Waterstraat where to find the best dirt on campus. This Sid senior would love to talk all-things-green with you whether it’s his favorite house plants or his Environmental Science major. When he’s not trying spicy peppers at the campus Holistic Garden, you can find him working for his Neuroscience lab or cooking new concoctions in the kitchen. Thats right, Graham has found a way to do it all! Being pre-med with a dual-degree isn’t easy but that doesn’t stop Graham from sharing brotherly love and good hugs at every opportunity. Graham is always down to jump in the pool or study in a hammock and would love to talk to you about just about anything. Whether it’s everyday gossip, that cool new thing you learned in class, or the inner workings of society, Graham is your guy. Hailing from Chicago, he’ll even try to convince you that deep dish is real pizza (it’s not). Even so, with Graham as your advisor, you’re in good hands.

  • Fresh out of Alief, Ameenat (uh-mean-uh) Adisa is the Houstonian who doesn’t know anything about Houston. Don’t be surprised if she sleeps through the first time meeting you, for she could sleep through the apocalypse if it were to occur during her rare periods of sleep as an archi. When it comes to a slay or a sports game, Ameenat’s coming in first place. Triple A in this advisor’s initals stands for awesome, amazing, and very Ameenat. Sometimes called Triple A( like the battery pack) she’s a ball of electric energy lighting up everything and everyone every time she enters a room (hold up, is she Triple E too?) She’s the perfect advisor for you if you want to vibe whether that’s going OC on a whim, climbing on top of buildings (please don't rusticate her), playing any type of sport (and I mean any), skateboarding- just about anything- just grab her and she’s ready to yap. Please don’t be afraid to reach out to her. Her office hours are Monday- Sunday 12:00 am- 5:00 am at Anderson Hall (archi building). Walk-in visitation hours are held during the daytime at the Rec.

  • If you see anyone with mate in one hand and a huge thermos in the other, it's probably Lucas. From Uruguay & Houston, he is proud to be a vibrant latino who can wear cowboy boots & buss down to Hoedown-Throwdown. Whether studying abroad in Germany, traveling to see his family in Uruguay, or visiting his favorite coffee shops, Lucas is always on the move. Lucas is free spirited, a great listener, dedicated to his friends, and always down for an adventure. He loves deep talks and doing creative things as an Economics & Art major. You will usually hear his infectious laugh before you see him around will rice commons, riding his penny board, in the holistic garden, or taking walks around campus. The designated aux, he enjoys all types of music from house to indie, reggaeton, and even German rap. If you can’t find him, he’s the advisor with the pink buzz cut. Pink Floyd is lucky to have him as a father, resource, and friend.
