You’re lucky to be part of Disney StudiO-Week with the GOAT: Nahom Zerai, a senior at Sid Richardson College who was born in Ethiopia and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He studies Bioengineering on the pre-MD-PhD track. He was a track star in high school and also claims to be a state champion bowler. Hit him up for a study session with lots of laughter, talking about random things, and occasional short bursts of productivity. His favorite hobbies include dapping people up, being dripped out 24/7, and yapping. He also enjoys soccer, pickup basketball, and consistently destroying me in ping pong. Additionally, he’s one of the Sid Bike Team Captains and would love to go on a ride with you! Nahom is one of the chillest and nicest guys I’ve ever met, and I’m glad you get to meet him!

A proud Halal Guys fan, Noam Ramot is a New Yorker double majoring in Philosophy and Cognitive Sciences (for now). When he isn't changing his mind about his major, this rising sophomore at Sid can be found locking in (on F1) in the 2nd floor study room or playing flag football for the intramural team. If you're ever looking to Doordash boba, take one of Dr. Betul Orcan's courses, or trying to improve at spikeball, Noam is the perfect parent for you. An avid Christopher Paolini and Jon Krakauer reader, he also enjoys listening to Gracie Abrams. Additionally, he is an amazing individual to converse with regarding determinism and free will, ethics, and what a good life is—personally, I promise you will emerge from these conversations enlightened. With Noam's calming and down-to-earth presence, he's always easy to talk to—you're in great hands with an Advisor like him.

Jazmin is a proud Latina baddie from Santa Rosa, California, double majoring in Political Science and Social Policy Analysis. A true night owl and certified life of the party, Jaz always brings the energy, whether she’s hyping up the group or leading the charge to the next spontaneous adventure. A true sports girl at heart, Jazmin’s always down to catch a basketball or volleyball game, bonus points if there’s good company and snacks involved. Known for her never ending closet that never lets her repeat an outfit, Jaz’s outfit game is always on point. But she’s more than just fun and fashion: she’s deeply passionate about advocacy and community, making waves through her work with the Undocumented Task Force and the Hispanic Association for Cultural Enrichment at Rice. Whether she’s organizing for change or rallying friends for late-night food runs, Jazmin’s the kind of person who lights up every room she walks into—and makes you feel like you belong there too.

Heyyyy Sidizens!!! YOU GOT VERY LUCKY WITH THIS ONE! Abby (i’m still working on a nickname) Thomson is the GOAT. She really enjoys nature, like in a kind of concerning way. There is a 90% chance she is frolicking at Hermann Park instead of studying. If not that, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends, watching sitcoms (especially The Office), and eating cheese. Her favorite is the brand Boursin cheese (this would make sense if you know her). ABBY IS AWESOME, the GOAT if you will. She knows exactly what to say. I mean I have a quotes notes app section and she has said 80% of those quotes. Again, you are so lucky to have Abby as your O-Week Parent! She will make your Rice experience one to remember!
