About Ω-Week Groups
The moment you arrive at Camp O-Week you'll be surrounded by a support network of your peers from Sid and other Residential Colleges, who were in your shoes not too long ago. Sid's O-Week Coordinators, Advisors/Co-Advisors, and Affiliates are here to welcome you to Sid and the greater Rice community. After a week with them, you'll be ready to take on all the challenges and triumphs that arise in your first year at your new home!
Once you get assigned to your group, they become your new family at Sid. Each group has 9-12 New Students, who will be eating, going to events, and hanging out together, along with 4- 5 Advisors. You’ll spend pretty much every waking moment with your group, and even though you might be longing for some downtime by the end, the bonds you form with your group will persist well beyond O-Week. There’s a reason most groups still meet weekly to have O-Week lunch and catch up; O-Week is forever.
