Matcha dates, digi cam photo shoots, La La Land on repeat—it’s just another day of Faith! Hailing from Long Island, New York, Faith Chen is a Sid senior majoring in Architecture with minors in Entrepreneurship and Environmental Studies. Whether she’s perfecting her calligraphy or chasing the perfect lighting for her photos, Faith always knows how to make everything artsy and aesthetic! She’s a UI/UX queen, constantly hopping from one design meeting to the next, whether it’s leading as Head of Design at Rice Apps or designing new apps with Rice Design. She’s also involved in New Life Fellowship, her home away from home! You’ll never miss a moment with Faith around, as she’s one of the most sentimental people you’ll know—her camera always in hand. She’s the kind of friend who always knows how to find the beauty in the little things. If you’re in her group, you’ll be blessed by her long rambles about Studio Ghibli, the Crazy Rich Asians wedding scene, or her cute little companion Snoopy. And if you’re extra lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of her gigantic pile of plushies ;)

Two Words: Raj Shroff. This absolute beast of man will quickly become your go-to person at Sid and Rice. As a Business and Managerial Economics major hailing from the ‘burbs of Atlanta, a Co-President on the prestigious Rice Venture Fund and an Eagle Scout, Raj will use his prestigious resume to guarantee any one in his O-Week Family will succeed. When he’s not sitting front row with his hand permanently raised or harassing TAs during office hours, Raj can be found pumping iron at the gym, and he’d be happy to have you along. If he’s not busy (and even if he is), Raj is always down for late night food runs to talk, to listen, and everything in-between. With Raj, you are bound to have an O-Week you won’t forget, and an O-Week Parent that will always feel like your home away from home through your time at Rice.

You’ll probably hear Aaron before you see him—whether it’s the sound of three to four pieces of gum getting absolutely demolished or music blasting from his AirPods as he hypes someone up for no reason on 4th Floor Fondren. A proud Fort Worth native and sophomore at Sid, Aaron’s majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in caffeine dependency (currently fueled by double shot macchiatos). Don’t let the all-black fits and serious face fool you—he’s always down to chat, especially if it’s about food, music, or what shoes you’re wearing. As Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers’ Socials Chair and a future Rice Health Advisor, Aaron’s all about building community and curating good vibes wherever he goes, no matter how he does it. His playlists are pure chaos (in a good way)—one moment dancing to Spanish bangers (Rauw and Feid on top), the next headbanging to Deftones, floating with Clairo, or even better, bumpin Charli. He’s a recovering energy drink addict, future Búhos accordionist (yes, really), and H&D’s favorite regular. Aaron has more shoes than socks, a knack for lying about his age, and a gift for making people feel like they belong. Within five minutes, he’s cracked a joke, complimented your entire existence, and invited you to a Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers event. You’re in for a wild ride—in the best way—with Aaron as your Advisor, and he can’t wait to help you feel at home.
