The adventures of Sidlock holmes

Introducing Prasi Desai, a senior Sidizen chemical engineering major, or CHBE (chu-beh) for short, from Wichita Falls, TX. Prasi is someone to look up to, not only because she is 5’9” (and a half!) but also because she is a true academic weapon. On evenings when she’s not locking in at Sid, there’s a good chance she can be found hosting movie/show nights at her house. One thing to know about Prasi is that she is always down for a side quest to explore a fun area or grab a treat. The more chocolate in her drink, the better!

Meet Noam Ramot, a Junior majoring in Cognitive Science and Philosophy from New York City and a proud Sidizen. If you spend more than five minutes with Noam, you'll quickly discover three things: he's always down for a game of spikeball, always willing to grab food (preferably Halal Guys), and somehow remains loyal to Ferrari despite the emotional trauma they cause him every Formula 1 season. When he's not carrying our flag football team or finding new ways to ragebait his friends, Noam can usually be found having deep discussions on everything from free will, ethics, and logic to the latest F1 strategy disaster, or getting invested in and ragebaited by Age of Attraction. Equal parts deep thinker and professional instigator, he loves intellectual conversations and hearing different perspectives. Beyond that, he's one of the most reliable, level-headed, and easygoing people you'll meet at Rice. Whether you need someone to talk through a big life question, throw a football with, or just grab dinner after a long day, Noam is always someone you can count on.

Blessing O-Week this year is Liam Durcan! Graduating in ‘28, he is a Statistics major at Sid Richardson College. It can’t be all good though, because he hails from Boise, Idaho. He makes up for that, however, with his magnetic personality and unique style. Liam sees everything through: he’ll never leave food on a plate, a rep in the tank at the gym, and he will be at every O-Week event with a smile on his face. A strong advocate for doing things the hard way, he goes on frequent long distance runs, climbs, lifts, but most difficult of all, he is a huge Boise state football fan. Liam is genuinely one of the kindest and most fun people you’ll meet. He’ll be the best Advisor!

HEAR YE HEAR YE!! SINA STEFANOS IS YOUR ADVISOR!!
From the blazing heat of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Sina is one of the kindest, funniest people you’ll ever meet. A proud member of the Class of 2029 from Hanszen College, you’ll typically find her sipping on a coffee while chatting with someone on campus.
Sina is the type of person who makes you feel comfortable the moment you meet her. Whether it’s a late-night movie, spontaneous side quest, or a deep conversation, she’s there with an open ear and zero judgment. Tired? Busy? Doesn’t matter, she’ll still help you with whatever you need.
A Pre-Med double majoring in Business and Biosciences, she can help with everything from Accounting to Organic Chemistry (yes, the scary one). Sina is truly someone you can lean on for advice or support, so be prepared for an amazing O-Week!!
