McKinley “McRib” Garner is the most outspoken resident and proponent of Minneapolis, Minnesota’s superiority, to the point of real delusion (even if the city is actually pretty nice). Whether you find him working on his junior year Mechanical Engineering homework, on Rice’s Formula SAE car, or almost hitting his Eclipse teammates with rockets, he’s sure to be at the center of laughter and commotion. He is probably the least culturally knowledgeable person you’ve met, but is plenty knowledgeable about every random hobby, including (but not limited to) watch-making/repair, woodworking, and iron man training. Fun fact: McKinley once only wore two pairs of socks for two months while backpacking in the Arctic. As one of the founding members of Sid’s Jacks Committee and a chugger on the Beer Bike team, he is bursting from the SEAMS with Sid pride. McKinley may have a “loko” personality but he’s always happy to help out and is truly someone you can count on.

Introducing the one and only… DANIELLE! If she is your Advisor… oh boy… you are an insanely lucky duck. Not only is she a D1 yapper (and napper), but she is an elite iPad kid and harmonica player. Jokes aside, this proud Donna, Texan is a RHA (Rice Health Advisor) and will be there for anything you need, especially if you want to discuss anything Hunger Games- or Wicked-related. (Send her TikTok edits IMMEDIATELY.) This pre-med academic weapon can be usually found around Sid whenever she is not locked in. She is one of the Sid Spirits who plans events and makes Sid FUN! Last year, Danielle betrayed Sid to advise at Martel, only to realize that there is no place like home (Sid). We are so lucky and so thrilled to have her as an Advisor and she has been waiting for IncognitO-Week since the beginning of time. GET HYPED.

Meet Leah! A future lawyer, Sid sophomore Leah is a History and Linguistics double-major. She’s a midwestern baddie from Chicago(ish), but don’t let that fool you — she’s always down for side quests in the great city of Houston, whether that’s late night Whataburger runs and visiting the Museum of Fine Arts, or something more local, like baby-booing at Perch (iykyk). Leah is an avid member of the Mock Trial team, which is the only reason she’d be at Fondy instead of Chaus. If you see her around with her “Owl Guide” shirt and a headset, make sure to sing Happy Birthday really loudly to make her feel celebrated on her special day (which is everyday)!

It’s time for everyone to meet the one and only Jake Robinson!!! Give it up for the returning Sid Co-Advisor known for his high energy, kind heart, and extensive brainrot knowledge. He’s fueled by passionate curiosity and, of course, Monster, Bang, and Red Bull (sponsor him already). This junior is “just a raver at Duncan” College (and underground Fizz celebrity) majoring in BioSciences and minoring in Medical Humanities. He’s a chronic overachiever who somehow makes his diabolical class schedules and extracurriculars work. But be warned: he becomes a crazy cryptid when sleep deprived. Even then, Jake will still make the best Buldak ramen during the witching hour and listen with compassion and understanding. These are just a few things that make up one of the kindest, most driven, and entertaining people at Rice. The real person is even better, and I can’t wait for all you New Sidizens to meet him!
