CONGRATS!!! You just got the Lebron James of O-Week Advisors! Meet Ojas Kadam, a Senior Sidizen originally from Las Vegas majoring in Bioengineering, minoring in Data Science. The kindest, sweetest, and most AWESOME person, you can find Ojas either hiking or growing fresh tomatoes while gardening. When he’s not touching grass, he’s cooking people in pickleball or designing medical devices for doctors as president of the Medical Design Club. Underneath his incredible aura is one of the most dependable and caring people on campus, and you’re super lucky to have him as an Advisor. Congrats on getting the GOAAT (Greatest O-Week Advisor of all time)!

It might be 4 AM, but Nicole’s still in studio! All the way from sunny LA, Nicole is a rising junior studying Architecture and Art History who, when she’s not pulling all-nighters, can be found pretending to work at Local Foods (really just an excuse for an americano), hanging out at Sid with her friends, or at Aritzia. Unless it’s the Dancing with the Stars finale, Nicole is always down to listen and talk whenever you need it. She’s one of the most talented and committed designers at Rice, but what really stands out is how much she cares about the people around her. She is kind, loyal, and always puts others first. If Nicole is your Advisor, you are genuinely in the best hands.

Sai Kasiraman is one of the most compassionate and kindhearted people we know, and she’s here to make your O-Week experience the best it can be! She’s a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Data science and Astronomy (though she’d probably minor in everything if she could). Curious at heart, Sai loves exploring new hobbies, places, and music — but she’ll always be devoted to her faves (*cough* Magdalena Bay cough). She may be from Irving, Texas, but you won’t find a bigger New York Mets fan out there (seriously, she LOVES the Mets). In her free time, you can find Sai birdwatching, playing Pokémon, building keyboards, tinkering with computers, and composing for practically any musical instrument you can think of. Above all, Sai is such an endlessly enthusiastic and supportive presence, and she’s so excited to meet you! She’ll definitely make your first week an incredible one.

Have YOU heard about the Mechanical Engineering-minded, life-of-the-party cheerleadin’, mac-and-cheese lovin’, rising sophomore from Brown College who ALWAYS remembers the Alamo? Meet THE Julian Marquez Ramos (patent pending)! Julian is a jack of many trades – he is an expert musician (marimba and piano), poker player, side-quester, and sleeper. If you don’t see him using his shining sense of humor to bring a smile to everyone’s face, he’s probably taking a 30-minute power nap in his dorm 😴. From performing a hit rendition of “Man or Muppet” at Brown College’s talent show, to heading down to Galveston the night before his final (he got an A 😮), Julian is always down and ready for anything. Whether you are looking for a late night ice cream buddy (cookies and cream is his favorite) or a chill pal to discuss cheeses and their many varieties with (he founded a committee), Julian is your man! Get ready to get the Ra-most out of O-Week – mic drop 😎.
